Why Can't Italians Control Their Freaking Kids???

Yes, I know parents all across the globe don't always keep an eye on their kids, but I notice a trend among Italians.

I live in an area with a high population of them, and their kids are always running around stores, being loud and even going into people's shopping carts, telling their parents to "shut the eff up" and their parents just stand there like everything's OK.

I've never seen a pattern quite like this before.  I'm Norwegian and German, and when I was young, my parents told me to stop and wouldn't buy me anything in the store if I acted up like I see these kids doing.
